Cosmetic Surgery for Cheekbones and Chin

Cosmetic Surgery for Cheekbones and Chin Significance of high cheekbones a prominent chin: Aesthetic point of view In the world of today, â€Å"selfie† has become kind of an obsession and being active on â€Å"social media† and showing off your so called â€Å"cool social life† has become an obligation! In such a world today, having been able to possess ‘attractive facial features’ is a must, be it men or women. It has been shown beyond doubt, that ‘facial symmetry’ is one of the benchmarks, by which attractiveness of a face can be recognized. However, there are found to be many other factors which are responsible for making a face look appealing. The face is the first thing that catches the attention of a passer by, friend or a foe. Who doesn’t want to look attractive? Nowadays, people use certain kind of beauty creams, wear makeup; so as to look appealing and presentable. In the world of today, your ‘persona’ with which you carry yourself, can get you brownie points in the field that you belong to! Having a good, magnificent and presentable personality is one of the most compelling things that can get you one step closer towards achieving recognition in your particular field. In order to look presentable, you ought to possess ‘attractive facial features’ as they say! Apart from these artificial beautifying measures such as beauty creams, makeup etc, there are some facial features that can make you look charismatic naturally. Having sharp facial features makes one look good and attractive. High cheekbones, wide-set eyes, a small nose and a prominent chin are believed to make one look appealing. Beauty does not have set parameters as such. It depends on how one perceives beauty. The Science of Attraction Researchers from a University at Sweden have propounded that our conclusions on whether we find someone charming may be as a result of hormones that we are exposed to in utero or at the time of puberty, our dependence on visual information, the way our brains advanced systems to identify/perceive/process different stimuli and/or our wish to transfer â€Å"attractive genes† to our progeny so that they might have higher chances of finding a mate and resultant reproductive conquest. As per an extensive research done by a University at Germany, the thing that everyone finds sexually appealing in the opposite sex is symmetry. This holds true for human as well as animal kingdoms. Faces having great degree of symmetry are classically believed to be more attractive and symmetry has been linked with good health and genetic quality. Distinct digressions from this mean are said to denote lack of general well-being or ill-health. It is of our good interest to mate with somebody with best possible genes. And this will in turn be transferred to our children, making certain that we have healthy kids, who will pass our own genes on for the generations to come. High cheekbones are the zygomatic bones in the face of primates, which in some people may be more notable than others, resulting in the upper part of the cheeks to protrude and form a line cut into the side of the face. High cheekbones, producing a symmetrical face contour, are quite common in fashion divas and is said to be a ‘beauty trait’. High cheekbones develop with age and denote that a woman is old enough to be able to reproduce. In case of males, prominent facial features like a strong jaw and chin, high cheekbones indicate high level of testosterone and are believed to be attractive physical characteristics in many cultures. Some fortunate people are naturally gifted with these attractive facial features while the others have to undergo certain procedures in order to be able to possess sharp facial features and look appealing. Let’s have a look at these varied treatments and procedures: Injectable Fillers: Filler injections are non surgical soft tissue fillers approved as medical devices by the Food Drug Administration (FDA). These are injected into the skin and help filling the lost volume of the skin. The most common areas that get exposed to these injections are the cheeks, cheekbones and chin. Hyaluronan (Hyaluronic acid) is the commonest constituent of an injectable filler. Juvederm Voluma: Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is the latest of the Juvederm range of injectable fillers produced by Allergan that is made up of hyaluronic acid gel and a naturally occurring substance in the skin. These are specially created to reinstate volume in the regions of volume loss. Also, due to its skillfulness it provides a definition to the jaw line as well. It restores deep volume loss and smoothes the mid-face. Revives sunken areas around the cheek region. Gives volume and a youthful contour/appearance to the chin. Juvederm Voluma can last up to 1 and a half year (18 months) which may vary from person to person. Individuals with facial volume loss as a result of ageing, sudden unexplained weight loss or certain problems like facial droop or asymmetry may assist from the treatment with Juvederm Voluma. Average length of filler injections is approximately 10 to 20 minutes per session, based on the individual and the amount being treated. These require minimal downtime, permitting patients to resume work and their normal activities directly following treatment. Cheek Chin Augmentation: Surgical Techniques Cheek implants or perhaps Cheek enlargement is a sort of plastic surgical treatment and that is accomplished as a way to highlight this cheeks while on an individual’s face. A plastic surgeon may perhaps place a great implant in the cheekbone for this purpose. These types of implants increase the projection in the cheekbones. Ripped or perhaps recessed cheek places may perhaps turn out seeking richer because of the added amount due to enlargement. Cheek Augmentation is mostly amalgamated using some other techniques including Face lift or perhaps face enlargement. Material used: Cheek implants may perhaps consist involving distinct sort of components. The most typical is solid silicone. Additionally, 2 additional options are generally high-density porous polyethylene, also known as Medpor, and ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene), also called Gore-Tex. Shapes: Three different shapes: Malar – This kind of is probably the most common of them all. These types of implants are placed entirely on this cheek bone tissues. Due to that the cheeks become more prominent and â€Å"higher contour† sideways in the face. Submalar – These kind of implants usually are not intended to become positioned on this cheekbones. These are set up pertaining to supplementing this midface, especially when a person is having emaciated appearance or perhaps â€Å"skinny† physical appearance to this particular place. Combined – Extensive implants which might be useful for augmenting equally, this cheekbones plus the mid-face. Exactly how would be the Cheek Implants placed? An incision is made by a Facial Plastic surgeon inside upper oral cavity on the the top gum line and the implants are generally slid in the spot. Implants can be placed by means of doing the outside incision on the eye, but the drawback being, it could possibly build an apparent scar. Thats why majority of sufferers do not prefer this method. Although, this intra-oral (inside this mouth) technique will involve a much better danger involving contamination for the reason that oral cavity has a lot more number of microorganisms. Cheek implant surgical procedure is generally executed immediately after giving sedation or perhaps common anesthesia and it will take about one to two hrs. Patient generally recovers within 10 days. Chin Implants/ Chin Augmentation: Chin enlargement is performed with the help of Chin Implants. This is a sort of surgical treatment that may change/modify the basic structure in the face. This kind of change therefore allocates far better sense of balance to the facial features. This peculiar medical terminologies Genioplasty and Mentoplasty are used to indicate the addition and decrease in the material to a patients chin. This will lead to reduction in the chin height or chin rounding by osteotomy, or chin augmentation with the help of implants. This kind of surgical procedure is a lot of the times, executed before Rhinoplasty (Nose job), that assists in balancing the facial proportions. This process accentuates the real key characteristic in the lower part of the face by means of improving its shape, height, width and prominence. A lot of the sufferers are searching for addressing a poor or perhaps undefined chin which â€Å"blends into the neck† too much (microgenia). This can be of disquietude as it has more effect on the patient’s side profile which enables it to help to make this nose seem nastily larger and much more visible. As a issue involving simple fact, sufferers have seen the effective improvement in their facial outline from chin implants on your own, in lieu of considering a lot more complex course of action involving Rhinoplasty (Nose surgery). When we examine the patients face on the the front, aesthetic preferences will be determined by gender. A masculine chin is generally wider and square shaped, so that the face has resemblance to a rectangle or square. A feminine chin is mostly narrower, such that it bears resemblance with an inverted triangle. Chin enlargement is a relatively easy procedure for the affected individual while resulting in notable improvements in the delineation of the face. This sort of surgical procedure is mostly executed by the oral maxillofacial surgeon, plastic surgeon or perhaps otolaryngologist. What is the Procedure for placing Chin Implants? This surgical treatment can be executed in a surgeons clinic, a hospital, or perhaps the outpatient clinic. X-rays of the patient;s chin and face will likely be obtained. The doctor will certainly find out what part of the chin to operate upon, making use of these X-rays. If your implant is merely needed to round out the chin: The affected individual may be given general anesthesia (asleep and pain-free), or perhaps he/she may be provided with a medicine such that the place becomes numb, along with a medicine that will cause them to relaxed and sleepy. A cut is made, either inside the oral cavity or outside under the chin. And in front of the chin bone and beneath the muscles, a pocket is created. This implant is positioned inside. The cosmetic surgeon may perhaps use real bone tissue or perhaps fat tissue, or perhaps the implant made out of plastic, Teflon, Dacron, or perhaps newer biological inserts. The implant is generally affixed to the bone tissue using screws or perhaps sutures. Sutures are utilized for closing the wound. When the cut in inside the oral cavity, the scar is hardly visible. At times, there may often be the necessity to move few bony tissues: The course of action will likely be accomplished under general anesthesia. The cosmetic surgeon can make the incision inside the patient’s oral cavity along the lower gum. This provides entrance for the chin bone. Second incision through the jaw bone can be made if you use a chisel or a bone. This jaw bone is moved and wired or perhaps screwed in place. Closure of the incision is done using stitches and a bandage is applied. Because the surgical procedure is accomplished within the patient’s oral cavity, these scar problems won’t become apparent. The procedure will take around 1 to 3 hrs.

Through the Fog :: Short Stories Essays

Through the Fog The morning sun rose higher in the overcast sky; the dense town of Cloisterham came into the eerie state of existence of a new day. The mysterious haze that rolled in overnight strangled the town. The sun appeared, as if it were trying to burn through a fogged window; the brightness of the day was merely the glowing of the haze. A sluggish day it would be, as the townsmen awoke slowly. The few early risers stomped like walking dead on the cold streets, neither a sleep, nor awake, dead or alive. The stiffness of the haze shrouded the town with an uncertain mysteriousness, like a dark figure lurking around the corner. Jasper fell into the every new day, which had become a hell to him. With the ominous anniversary pushing closer every minute, no longer did daylight provide freedom from his nightmares. Previously, he had only been vulnerable during his sleep, which currently, he rarely received. Lately he held had no safe haven, his nightmares consumed the days. The two years of pain melted into one horrible day, repeating itself over and over again. After resigning from his position as choirmaster, he spent every day wading through his deep depression, his great conscience sat upon him, suffocating him of the little life he still held. He had few visitors, but many watchers. So frequently he checked over his shoulders that concentrating on any task became impossible. As the murderous haze swept in under his door and billowed against the window, he enclosed himself in a world of fears, which proved never to release him. Below the postern stairs, Mr. Datchery prepared for a new day. He opened a cupboard door to retrieve a cup and grinned when he saw the hundreds of chalked lines. At this great score, he knew that the truth would soon surface. A knock on his door interrupted his thought, opening, Helena walked into the room. Surprised, Datchery exclaimed, â€Å"What are you doing here? Someone could see you.† â€Å"I got word that you needed to speak with me. I became worried, so I couldn’t wait until later.† â€Å"Soon these two years of work will fall into place. There exists no way of telling what will happen, alas, it will be very dangerous. All the more so if you refuse to leave town†¦Ã¢â‚¬

Government control Essay

There are many challenges that have to be faced by humanity in the twenty first century. Some of these challenges are major that have to be addressed immediately while there are some challenges that do not require immediate action. The stronger nations are somehow able to tackle some issues but still there are some issues that are difficult to handle. However, the smaller and the weaker countries that lack finances find it difficult to come up with solutions to these 21st century problems. Diversity and unity Diversity is one of the major issues that need attention as people are moving from their native countries to other countries where they find better opportunities. Diversity means differences in cultures, beliefs and habits that create a mixture of cultures. Here, the issue is to maintain harmony amongst the people belonging to different cultures and so it is essential to ensure that harmony does not collapse. Besides diversity, unity is also one major challenges that have to be worked upon and since one country has many different cultures residing in it, maintaining unity is indeed something difficult to achieve. Today, there is an influx of people who have become selfish and they have opted for individualistic approach that has further spoilt the society. Other problems that can be seen are communalism, regionalism and the increase in the rate of violence that is directly and indirectly affecting the value system of the world. Technological advancements Technological advancements have greatly affected the world and are serving as a major challenge. Since these advancements are taking place at a very fast pace, all the nations are trying hard to keep pace with this and for the weaker nations, this serves as a Herculean task to achieve the goals. The first and the foremost thing that has to be done to cure this is to spread literacy and to make everyone educated. It should not be the aim to get degrees and diplomas but the real essence of education should be understood as this will further lead the people to expand their knowledge, wisdom and to develop positive attitudes. However, it is not just important to educate the people but it is also essential to provide with opportunities to the people so that they can use their talents but this is also serving as a major challenge as many people remain unemployed despite of being educated. Industrialization As progress is taking place, industrialization is increasing rapidly and the natural resources are being consumed at a very high rate. Moreover, increase in pollution is also evident and this can bring adverse affects on the people and the environment especially if no action is taken to cure this problem. There are many other strategic challenges that will be faced in the 21st century and most them are caused due to the changes in styles of businesses that have now introduced. Previously, the marketers used to sell one product to the entire market but today, the customers have become more intelligent and savvy and they seek for customer value and since all the companies are battling against each other to grab the share of their piece of cake, it is hard to achieve targets easily as it was done previously. Market volatility has increased and rate at which organizational change is taking place is high and all these changes have a dramatic affect on the business strategies that are made and implemented. When the business needs are changing, it is also a must that there are changes occurring in the requirement of human input too. Employing the right workforce One of the strategic challenges being faced by the companies is the employment of the human resources. The management has to ensure that it employs the workforce that is not only efficient but effective too. However, there are some factors that affect the global instability and there is a huge global impact and people are entering in high numbers in the market that makes it hard for the social arrangement to sustain. Other than this, there is a very vast pool of human resources that are being wasted and this means that the human beings who are being employed are not able to work at their full potential as they not employed in a productive manner. Moreover, more and more people are added to the entire human workforce each year because of which there is a high pressure on the institutions and on the resources. Wastage of resources The non-human resources that are available to the human beings are being wasted at a very high rate. Both the renewable and non-renewable resources are not being fully utilized and are exploited and if this continues, the people will not be left with anything in the future. The environment is having a very negative impact on it because of the human activities that are taking place. The technological explosions are one of the most dangerous as well as costly damage to the society. Other disruptions that are serving as 21st century challenges are air pollution, soil pollution as well as depletion and desertification. Besides this, deforestation and misuse of water are two other factors that are serving as great challenges and if they will not be controlled, this can lead to major problems in the future. Biospheric disruption is another major challenge that needs attention. Despite of the fact that these are unavoidable, we can at least lessen the destruction that can be caused by the natural disasters that includes the climatic, geological, meteorological and space-oriented disasters. Global warming and ozone loss are climatic, earthquakes and eruptions are geological, floods, storms and droughts are meteorological while asteroids are space-oriented. Human insecurity Human insecurity is also a major challenge and this also leading to global unrest due to the violence that is persisting in the world and inter-human combat is occurring due to the ethnic and religious differences. Moreover, hazardous frustration has to be reduced and since the weapons are being created, they are being used as well and since there is an increase in unemployment, terrorism is increasing in the society. People have to fulfill their basic needs without which survival is more than impossible because of which they are doing crime. Due to this, the crime rate is increasing and is leading to unrest in the society and also affecting world peace. The numbers of extremists are increasing day by day and drug dealers have also outnumbered because of which the youngsters are getting immune to drug usage and are doing crime. Medical challenges Countering the medical challenges also needs immediate action and there are two main trends that are causing increase in health concerns. Firstly, both the people and the things are moving and this has caused transfer of various kinds of diseases that the other people are getting from the humans and from the animals. Even the animals that have some kind of disease are a major threat of spreading diseases. Moreover, the animals that are consumed by the human beings are getting diseases such as bird fly and mad cow disease and if any animal suffering from any such disease is consumed by the human being, it will create serious problems for that individual. Secondly, people are using antibiotics at a very high rate and this has produced more resistant mutations. For this, tighter preventives and control measures are required to ensure human security. Rules and laws A global rule is lacking in the world and so it is serving as a challenge to the society as the world is lacking universal rules and these should be created so that global standards are formed. Today, the world has become a global village and for this it is essential for it to have some universal laws and regulations that must be followed by all the countries. However, the international law must keep pace with interdependence as well. Therefore, global rights must be developed and should also be accepted and implemented by the society. It is argued by some governments that human rights are based on the cultures but universally there should be one common ground or code on the basis of which a norm should be developed. Migration Compared to the previous years, the rate of migration has greatly increased and people are looking for more opportunities outside their home country. It has indeed become difficult to handle all these immigrations and to provide jobs to the people who are moving to the other countries such as United States, UK, Canada and Australia. There are refugees too, who are forced to move out of their own countries and these people have to be settled in other countries where they move. These people create problems when they move to other countries and this is resulting in increase in the global issues that have to be dealt on a global level only. Financial money transfers and trade It has also become difficult to maintain global financial checks and since the number of financial transfers is increasing day by day, the role the government plays and the government control is reduced. Moreover, it also threatens the stability of the currencies and so it is suggested to apply certain percentage of taxes on such transfers. International trade is also growing but it is creating new problems for which negotiation has to be done between the trading countries. Moreover, regulation and adjustment is also needed to keep things smooth. The World Trade Organization ensures that it deals with the rapidly growing trade in a proper manner; however there are still some challenges that have to be met. Trade of services is also growing and the world has to face chronic problems with agricultures and other issues such as problems related to international investment. Corruption has also increased at a major rate and this has also become a major challenge to the world trade. There are many economic agreements that are treated globally and they are becoming more and more complex with the increase in trade. Taxing of international trade has become an issue as well and negotiations have to be made to come up to a common stand. Conclusion Due to all the problems that are being faced by the human beings, the rate of global distress is accelerating day by day and this is leading to serious problems. People become frustrated and hopeless due to the current situation. Income divergence is also increasing between nations and this challenge must be addressed immediately. All the 21st century problems that have been talked about above are sociological, philosophical, economic, historical, and geological and they relate to the human activities in some or the other way. The goal of the human beings should always be to minimize the threat that they get from these challenges if they cannot fully be removed. Moreover, the people should be educated about these disasters and challenges and they should be told about the ways they can adopt to reduce any negative impact created by the human activities. Besides this, backup plans should be made to ensure that the destruction is dealt properly and results in least problems. Work Cited Ciulla, Joanne. B. Choosing the Most Effective Learning Environment

There are several alternatives available when it comes to the type of education that a child can receive. Parents today have more choices than ever. The primary factor that parents have to weigh is the overall setting that they want their child to be educated in. It is also important for parents to examine the individual needs and make up of the child and the financial state they are in when deciding which learning environment is the right fit. There are five essential options when it comes to education a child. Those include public schools, private schools, charter schools, homeschooling, virtual/online schools. Each of these options provides a unique setting and learning environment. There are pros and cons of each these choices. However it is important that parents understand that no matter which option they provide for their child, they are the most important people when it comes to the quality of education their child receives. Success is not defined by the type of schooling you received as a young person. Each of the five options has developed a lot of people who were successful. The key factors in determining the quality of education a child receives is the value that their parents place on education and the time they spend working with them at home. You can put almost any child in any learning environment and if they have those two things, they are typically going to be successful. Likewise, children who do not have parents that value education or work with them at home have odds that are stacked against them. This is not to say that a child cannot overcome these odds. Intrinsic motivation plays a major factor too and a child that is motivated to learn will learn no matter how much their parents do or do not value education. The overall learning environment does play a role in the quality of education a child receives. It is important to note that the best learning environment for one child may not be the best learning environment for another. It is also important to remember that the importance of the learning environment decreases as parental involvement in education increases. Each potential learning environment can be effective. It is important to look at all the options and make the best decision for you and your child. Public Schools More parents choose public schools as their child’s option to education than all of the other options. There are two primary reasons for this. First public schooling is free and many people cannot afford to pay for their child’s education. The other reason is that it is convenient. Every community has a public school that is easily accessible and within reasonable driving distance. So what makes a public school effective? The truth is that it isn’t effective for everyone. More students will end up dropping out of public schools than they will any of the other options. This doesn’t mean that they don’t offer an effective learning environment. Most public schools provide students who want it with terrific learning opportunities and provide them with a quality education. The sad reality is that public schools receive more students than any other option who don’t value education and who do not want to be there. This can take away from the overall effectiveness of public education because those students typically become distractions who interfere with learning. The overall effectiveness of the learning environment in public schools is also affected by the individual state funding allotted to education. Class size is particularly affected by state funding. As class size increases, the overall effectiveness does decrease. Good teachers can overcome this challenge and there are many excellent teachers in public education. The educational standards and assessments developed by each individual state also impact a public school’s effectiveness. As it stands right now, public education amongst the states are not created equally. However the development and implementation of the Common Core State Standards will remedy this situation. Public schools provide students who want it with a quality education. The main problem with public education is that the ratio of students who want to learn and those who are only there because they are required are much closer than those in the other options. The United States is the only education system in the world that accepts every student. This will always be a limiting factor for public schools. Private Schools The biggest limiting factor concerning private schools is that they are expensive. Some provide scholarship opportunities, but the truth is that most Americans simply cannot afford to send their child to a private school. Private schools typically have a religious affiliation. This makes them ideal for parents who want their children to receive a balanced education between traditional academics and core religious values. Private schools also have the ability to control their enrollment. This not only limits class size which maximizes effectiveness, it also minimizes students who will be distractions because they don’t want to be there. Most parents who can afford to send their children to private schools value education which translates to their children valuing education. Private schools are not governed by the state laws or standards that public schools are. They can create their own standards and accountability standards which are usually tied to their overall goals and agenda. This can strengthen or weaken a school’s overall effectiveness depending on how rigorous those standards are. Charter Schools Charter schools are public schools that receive public funding, but are not governed by many of the state laws concerning education that other public schools are. Charter schools typically focus on specific subject area such as mathematics or science and provide rigorous content that exceed state expectations in those areas. Even though they are public schools they are not accessible to everyone. Most charter schools have limited enrollment which students must apply for and be accepted to attend. Many charter schools have a waiting list of students who want to attend. Charter schools are not for everyone. Students who have struggled academically in other settings will likely fall even further behind in a charter school as the content can be difficult and rigorous. Students who value education and want to earn scholarships and further their education would benefit from charter schools and the challenge that they present. Homeschooling Homeschooling is an option for those children who have a parent that does not work outside the home. This option allows a parent to be in total control of their child’s education. Parents can incorporate religious values into their child’s daily education and are usually better attuned to their child’s individual educational needs. The sad truth about homeschooling is that there are many parents who try to home school their child that are simply not qualified. In this case, it deeply impacts a child negatively and they fall behind their peers. This is not a good situation to put a child in as they will have to work extremely hard to ever catch up. While the intentions are likely good, the parent should realistically have an understanding of what their child needs to learn and how to teach them. For those parents who are qualified, homeschooling can be a positive experience. It can create an endearing bond between the child and the parent. Socialization can be a negative, but parents who want to can find plenty of opportunities through activities such as sports, church, dance, martial arts, etc. for their child to socialize with other children their age. Virtual/Online Schools The newest and hottest educational trend is virtual/online schools. This type of schooling allows students to receive public education and instruction from the comfort of home through the Internet. The availability of virtual/online schools has exploded over the past few years. This can be a terrific option for children who struggle in a traditional learning environment, need more one on one instruction, or have other issues such as pregnancy, medical issues, etc. Two major limiting factors can include the lack of socialization and then need for self motivation. Much like homeschooling, students need some socialization with peers and parents can easily provide these opportunities for children. Students also have to be motivated to stay on schedule with virtual/online schooling. This can be difficult if a parent is not there to keep you on task and to ensure that you complete your lessons on time.
